GPS Issues with Android Devices

We’ve had several instances where specific Android devices have had a problem with up-to-date GPS locations. The typical scenario is that their location shows that the agent is at their house or office – even though they’re out at a showing miles away! The issue is caused by certain Android devices that attempt to use different types of signals to identify your location. While GPS is one option – and extremely accurate in most cases – sometimes Android devices will attempt to use Assisted-GPS. But a small number of devices simply get stuck and use a stored location. These “stuck” devices typically only update their location once per day – often at the agent’s home. Solution #1: Reboot! A quick fix is to simply reboot your device. If it’s been a long time since you’ve powered down your phone, this can do the trick. Solution #2: Google Maps Google Maps is – for the most part – hard-wired into the Android operating system. When you open Google Maps, your phone may be able to reset your GPS. Solution #3: GPS Status and Toolbox Our recommended solution is to download the GPS Status and Toolbox app from Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2 This app gives you a number of tools for troubleshooting GPS issues, but it does require a download and playing with settings. We understand that many users won’t want to go through the trouble, BUT this app has been found to be a powerful tool for getting GPS working great. The GPS Status Toolbox app can dramatically improve your GPS, but some devices may still be limited to once-an-hour updates of...

Keeping Agents Safe at Work

“Real Agent Guard comes as a useful tool to help both employers (real estate agencies) and family to keep an eye on their agents/loved ones while showing a property.” A prime source for real estate investing, news, trends, and more, the Realty Biz News team keeps readers up-to-date with the latest and greatest in the industry of real estate across the world. We recently stumbled across a fantastic, recent article, written by Violeta-Loredana Pascal, that explains the ease and benefits of using Real Agent Guard for keeping agents safe while showing properties. One of the biggest threats to real estate agents while on the job is the public knowledge of their isolation. With the Enterprise monitoring system, as Pascal mentions, agencies can keep an eye on agents in the field. The Friends and Family app allows loved ones to also monitor their loved ones for even more security. Pascal also points out that although the apps aren’t completely free, the price is quite reasonable at around $1 per agent per month for agencies, a small price to pay for something as important as keeping agents safe. Pascal also discusses the different ways that RA Guard suggests agents use to deter crime, such as using the Open House Monitoring System as well as using RA Guard logos and watermarks on all public profiles and photos. Of course, agents should also press the timer button on the app when arriving at a property and take a picture of the car tags, which automatically is saved in the server database in the case of an emergency for police to review. Ease of Mind with Agent Security

While our house hunt ran very smoothly, real estate agents don’t always have it so easy. As sole owner and operator of JennUnplugged.com, mom of 2 kids, wife, and much more, Jenn Park has her hands quite full. However, she enjoys every moment and enjoys living life to its fullest potential. Another enjoyable activity for Jenn is to keep up with what homes are for sale in her area, and this paints an excellent picture of the importance of agent security in the industry. For Jenn, keeping up with the real estate industry is merely a “guilty pleasure.” She enjoys seeing various layouts and paint choices. Unfortunately, not every curious viewer is so innocent and in such situations, agent security is especially necessary. Too many news reports contain stories of real estate agents who have found themselves in dangerous situations, which is why a reliable agent security app is so vital. Agent Security: Strength in Numbers We appreciate Jenn’s review of our apps! We also want to point out that agent security starts with deterrence, so using our logos, watermarks, and sign toppers is an excellent way to let everyone know that your agents are not alone. Take a look at Jenn’s review: http://jennunplugged.com/keeping-homes-safe-with-real-agent-guard-realagentguard/ Or give her some love on Twitter!...

Deterrence is the Key to Agent Security

Their solution makes it easy to provide agents with the most simple, powerful security apps that not only protect them in an emergency, but also deter crime. As a successful blogger, video blogger, radio/TV host, and published author, Sami Cone enjoys sharing resources with her loyal fans that will help improve their lives in any way. In her review of Real Agent Guard on her blog samicone.com, Sami emphasizes just how important it is for real estate agents to deter crime before it even happens, which is the main goal of the RA Guard apps. Sure, the apps work in the case of an emergency too, but preventing crime through a strong agent security system is forefront. Sami points out the many features available for deterring crime: logos, banners for watermarking photos, sign toppers, and the Open House Video Monitoring System all let criminals know that this agent is not alone. Sami even asked a friend in the real estate business about agent security and safety, and she found out that staying safe is a top concern in the industry. With the recent uptick of crime in real estate lately, Sami also points out that the Real Agent Guard apps are an excellent way for families selling their homes to stay safe. Agent Security from Experts for Cheap A final point Sami makes in her review is that agent security does not come cheap, except for the Real Agent Guard apps. Why is this? Sami mentions that our founders are security experts and developers, which is why the app is so tight as well as affordable for budgets of...

Simplicity in Real Estate Agent Safety

I spent some time using the Real Agent Guard app and dashboard and it is really very simple. Diane Hoffmaster is the owner of Turning the Clock Back, a blog that teaches how to live a more healthy, green, and simple lifestyle one step at a time. As a believer of taking baby steps to make lasting changes, Diane seemed especially impressed with how easy it is to set up, learn, and use our apps for real estate agent safety. Diane also demonstrates just how quickly the app works to keep an agent safe with her own testing of the system. She describes how she hit the Panic button and it immediately started dialing 911, a feature that can be turned off if needed. But her point is clear: staying safe is very simple when using Real Agent Guard. Real Estate Agent Safety with a DIY Card Holder We also love Diane’s creative how-to at the end of the article for making your own DIY business card holder using a mint tin, such as the Altoids tins. She has an excellent suggestion: introduce the Real Agent Guard app to a real estate agent that you know and give them a personalized business card holder. We’d like to add to this suggestion by also pointing out to your agent that the app includes watermarking for images. The agent can print our logo on the business cards to let everyone know they are protected by a highly secure system! See Diane’s excellent review and her DIY business card holder how-to: http://www.turningclockback.com/2015/06/diy-business-card-holder-and-real-agent-guard.html Be sure to send her a thank you on Twitter:...

The Reassurance of an Agent Safety App

I have fallen so in love with all things real estate…But with any job there can be dangers and downfalls. One of the biggest is not knowing what can happen when you meet a client or hold an open house. As a real estate agent, blogger, mom, recipe creator, and photographer, Kelley Grant has a lot on her hands at any given moment. However, as she admits in her review of Real Agent Guard on her blog The Grant Life, she absolutely loves her career in real estate. She also mentions the potential dangers of her advertising being alone in an open house for hours, which is why she wanted to review our agent safety app. Kelley explains her process in making her life-long dream of becoming an agent a reality – an impressive feat considering that she didn’t start classes until after her two kids came along. Finding an agency to join just flowed into place with the right connections, and today she is enjoying every aspect of her career choice. Now, though, Kelley is even more confident as a real estate agent thanks to the Real Agent Guard agent safety app. Agent Safety App for Confidence We appreciate Kelley Grant and her interest in remaining safe herself, but also in letting others know about our agent safety app. Like Kelley, we here at Real Agent Guard love that we can help all professionals by giving them confidence and providing a safety net, no matter their career choice. Working to Increase Agent Safety

Here’s to lavishly living work out loud as a real estate agent professional and gaining agent security with Real Agent Guard. Dana Vento loves “Living Lavishly Out Loud” on her blog, DanaVento.com. In her review of Real Agent Guard, she gives an amazing, “real life” scenario of a how exactly a real estate agent would use the Real Agent Guard app in more risky situations, demonstrating the importance of taking agent safety seriously. One of the excellent points that Dana makes is that the app only adds a couple seconds more to the agent’s routine in meeting clients and showing a house. If an agent is late to a showing and in a rush to meet the client, opening the app and clicking the login button only takes a few seconds. Agent safety should never be hindered by time constraints, and Real Agent Guard understands this completely. Agent Safety Made Easy Thank you, Dana, for giving such a clear picture in how easily agents can remain safe on the job and “lavishly live real estate agent safety, and real estate agent security out loud”! Check out Dana Vento’s awesome review on her blog: http://danavento.com/2015/06/real-agent-guard/ Be sure to also leave a thank you on her Twitter feed!...

Personal Safety When House Hunting

If you or anyone in your family or friend circle is a real estate agent, I highly recommend this app. In her review of Real Agent Guard on her blog, Candypolooza, Candy Olivares points out how scary house hunting can be, a personal safety issue not everyone considers until the moment of isolation. As a military spouse, she has gone through the ordeal of finding a new home every few years, so she also knows all too well the isolated properties that both real estate agents and home buyers may visit. Sometimes, a real estate agent leaves a house unlocked for viewers to see at their own convenience, alone, a scenario she has found herself in with her spouse more than once. As someone who takes personal safety very seriously, Candy does not lightly recommend the Real Agent Guard app for both real estate agents as well as families for keeping safe in any potentially dangerous situation. She mentions in her review that some of her favorite features include the automatic alert if the user misses a check-in time and also how easy it is to forward all of the information on to the police if criminal activity does occur. Personal Safety Counts One of the best benefits of the Real Agent Guard apps is that real estate agents are not the only ones who can use them successfully. Thanks to the Friends and Family app, individuals can use Real Agent Guard for personal safety in any potentially dangerous situation. Thank you, Candy, for letting your readers know that we have an app to easily keep themselves and loved...

Agent Safety Comes First with Real Agent Guard

I can see how the Real Agent Guard app could be very useful for anybody, not just real estate agents. They have a Friends and Family app coming soon that will act exactly like the monitor app but for people outside the agency team! Donna Chaffins, founder and owner of Blog by Donna, fell into blogging by accident. She quickly found out that she absolutely loves bringing fellow moms relevant information they need, from family to cooking and more. Some of her favorite posts to share are those about brands and products that she and her family love, and one of her recent reviews was of our Real Agent Guard apps and how much we value real estate agent safety. In her excellent overview, Donna mentions that she had once considered a career as a real estate agent. At the time, agent safety never crossed her mind, but now she realizes the risk involved in the job and the recent increase in dangers. Donna points out that, yes, many real estate agents can go through an entire career safely, but why take that risk? Donna is right: agent safety has become quite the concern in the past few years, and a real estate agent’s vulnerability has become a point of awareness for criminals. For this reason and the fact that almost everyone knows someone in the real estate industry, Donna felt the urge to share about Real Agent Guard on her blog with her readers. She also points out the many other ways that moms, wives, and teenagers could use the apps to remain safe with the Friends and...

Preventing Crime and Saving Lives

I’m happy to get the word out about [Real Agent Guard] and hopefully help protect any agents from possible violence. Showing properties can be potentially life threatening for real estate agents, as Erin Spain on her classy lifestyle, home, and DIY blog – DIY on the Cheap – points out. In her review of Real Agent Guard, though, she also mentions how well the apps work for preventing crime as well as saving lives of agents on the job. The many features provided by the apps protect in almost any crime scenario, and a few that Erin mentions include the Failsafe button and also the ability to take and upload photos of license plates to the app. Erin Spain also talks about the Open House Video Monitoring, which is one of the best ways for preventing crime during such events. Yet, the ability of Real Agent Guard to prevent crimes doesn’t stop with video monitoring. Agents can add the Real Agent Guard watermark or logo to their profile photos, business cards, and other printed and digital materials. Advertising the use of the RA Guard security apps lets everyone know that an agent is not alone. Erin ends her thorough review by commenting that anyone who knows someone in the real estate business should check out the app. We agree that preventing crime before it happens is always the best way. Preventing Crime with Real Agent Guard We love Erin Spain’s passion for sharing the news and helping to keep real estate agents safe! Be sure to check out her review as well as her own try-out of the video...
